Happy Halloween!
Every year Miss Hollie (Madeline's dance teacher) has a fun filled Halloween party at her dance studio. This was Madeline and Cameron's 2nd year to attend, along with our good friend Gabriel Pfaffman.
Cameron was Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribbean, Madeline was SuperGirl and Gabriel was an Auburn football player. When we arrived and Madeline saw Gabriel in his uniform, she said to me "Mommy, I should have worn my Auburn cheerleading outfit tonight!" It was a really cute moment.
The children had an awesome time playing games, getting spooked in the Haunted House, and staying up late! The parents had a good time going to watch the Auburn/LSU game until halftime. . . not so good later when they lost on the last play of the game!
October
Lots of fun in October! The children have been really excited a visit from Aunt Annie (Debbie's sister) and Uncle Dean, a trip to St. Pete Beach, and of course more soccer.
Ann and Dean came through en route to a cruise (so lucky!) and stayed with us for a day. Unfortunately the children's soccer games were rained out that weekend, but we still had a great visit and plenty of play time!
That same weekend we took for a quick one day whirlwind visit to see the Cumbos in St. Petersburg Beach. It was great to visit and see how big Dylan (age 2 1/2) has gotten and to meet Miss Bailey (8 weeks at the time of our visit), who might be the best baby on the planet (and super cute too).
Madeline and Cameron had alot of fun playing in the Gulf and fishing off Mr. Bo's dock! We are looking forward to a return trip soon.
September
September flew by. . . . both children started their Fall Soccer seasons. This was Cameron's first season in the same league Madeline has played in for the last 2 years. He has a great team of 4-5 year olds and is really enjoying the game. We are working on teaching him to share the ball and assist his teammates more. Other than that, he just loves to get in there, get the ball and drive it to the goal!
Matt is coaching Madeline's team this year. We have about 1/2 of the children that have been playing the last 2 years with her and 1/2 new children (they have played before but not on her team). It is really interesting to see how the last 2 years have come together for them to learn the game and her team is very cohesive this season. Everyone is playing great and having fun!
Grams and Papa' Okenica came for a visit and got to see Madeline and Cameron in action on the soccer field! They also were able to attend the Falcons/Jaguars game, which was alot fun, except that the Jags won. We love the Falcons, but Matt and I love the Jags too! At least one of our teams won that weekend!
